There is still something to be said for incentives to make money. To me, universal health care isn't about forced equalization, it's about economic practicality.
Exactly. In addition to being unaffordable for individuals and businesses alike, the US is spending more than countries that provide basic health coverage for everyone. Those are the primary reasons I support Universal Health-care. However, I could never support a system that forces care on people regardless of cost or personal desire. There's something horribly wrong with any country where the government takes command of someone's personal health-care matters and establishes an outright monopoly on the market.
