Dean was considered centrist for Vermont, constantly pissing off the Progressives.  I think Doyle is considered fairly liberal.  Maybe Kulongoski in Oregon too.  Not sure about the current acting Governor of NJ either.   But if Corzine is elected in NJ next year, he will be the most liberal sitting Governor.

In the recent past, Parris Glendening was certainly a liberal when he was Governor of Maryland.
