I think I thought Gingrich, but Pence was absolutely the right pick in hindsight.

I'd forgotten that there was serious speculation of Corker.  He wasn't really a Never Trumper at the time.  But that would have been really interesting with hindsight.  On a semi-related note, I was still in college then and I will never forget that Corker came into a class I was taking on the election a couple weeks after the election and some really liberal girl got in a verbal argument with him about his support for Trump and that he called Ivanka Trump "attractive".
i think he is only a never trumper today because he is piss off he didnt became the vice president.
