Doesn't the fact that hotbeds of the far left are all attractive vacations spots abd hotbeds of the far right are hellholes everyone wants to avoid tell you something?

As for the question: Forsyth, GA is your answer.  I'm glad BRTD was able to point that one out a few years back.  Northern GA as a whole seems to be right wing cuckoo land.
It works both ways. The most liberal major city in America (Detroit) is a decaying, crime ridden hellhole. The most conservative (Provo) has almost no crime, and very low unemployment.

left wing =/= democratic
Detroit proper gave Kerry over 90% of the vote. So yes it is Democratic.

Yes, but that doesn't make it liberal or the most liberal. Also, it's not like liberal Democrats would want to live in/visit Detroit.

As for the OP, in addition to what's been mentioned...

- all of Oklahoma
- all of Kansas west of Topeka
- northern Louisiana
- Colorado Springs is home to at least two far-right organizations, even if it's not that Republican in actual votes, it's more conservative than anywhere in CO except the rural eastern part
- Charlotte, NC seems even less conservative by actual votes, but there is a lot of right-wing activity there, particularly the outskirts/suburbs
