We will keep the current draft format. Keep in mind that the ratings won't be released until the end of the year, so if immediatly finish up, we will have to wait around forever. If the draft takes a month, it gives us more time to enjoy the whole thing. There is absolutly no reason to rush.

That's fine, though some of the votes that will be used for the ratings will take place before we finish drafting.

And 'Feingold'...

I would say keep going to keep this moving and let him pick when he returns.

Should I pick or are we going to wait for blerpiez?

In that case, I'll draft Gary Ackerman (D-N.Y.).

True Democrat is on the clock--I'll PM him.

Fair enough, that plan will be adapted.

That's fine, though someone should "stickie" this thread so it doesn't get lost when we evaluate it next year.

*bump*

This thread needs to be stickied so that it can be evaluated next year when the ratings come out.

National Journal has ratings each year, but you need a subscription to see them.

Progressive Punch

Sen. Pat Leahy (D-VT) - 90.73 (9.27)
Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI) - 89.36 (10.64)
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) - 87.74 (12.26)
Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) - 93.15 (6.85)
Rep. John Olver (D-MA) - 95.36 (4.64)
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) - 93.69 (6.31)
Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY) - 87.09 (12.91)
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) - 87.74 (12.26)
Rep. Bob Filner (D-CA) - 93.74 (6.26)
Rep. Major Owens (D-NY) - 93.58 (6.42)

Total 87.82
Average 8.782

This site shows conservatives to be much more ideological than liberals. Also, I find it bizarre that they show Richard Shelby as more liberal than John McCain.
