Good work as usual, hc!

Can you list the major cities and towns that voted for Obama in the primary? Certainly Ithaca, Poughkeepsie, Buffalo, perhaps Rochester if I'm reading the map correctly.

Here are all of them (except for counties that I don't have data for).

I put my guesses at why they voted so.

MONROE COUNTY:
Rochester - urban, U. of Roch., and 40% black

TOMPKINS COUNTY:
Ithaca City (Obama's best municipality in New York - 67.5% of the vote) a university town: Cornell and Ithaca
(rest are in commuting distance)
Ithaca Town
Lansing
Dryden
Ulysses
Newfield
Danby
Caroline

SCHUYLER COUNTY:
Cayuta - also commuting distance of Ithaca

ERIE COUNTY:
Buffalo - urban and 37% black

LIVINGSTON COUNTY:
Geneseo - SUNY Geneseo

ALLEGANY COUNTY: (don't know about these)
