You think upper middle class kids eat cafeteria slop instead of bringing their own lunch?

The free school lunch program already has categorical eligibility for SNAP participants and and those below 185% of the poverty level

Do families above 185% of the FPL need free school meals?

I think 135 is for free and 185% for reduced. Although tbf if a family that isn't in destitute poverty can't afford the 40 cents reduced price lunch I would be incredibly worried about child neglect.

Woild be good if they didnt serve trash for lunches. How about veggies fruits and whole grains instead of junk like sugar milk and chicken nuggets?

Healthy food doesn't cost more to buy than  Junk Food. Maybe preparation can take a bit longer but mass preparation in a school cafeteria cancels that out. The answer is that kids just won't eat it lol.
