I’ve liked Hassan ever since she tore DeVos to pieces during her confirmation hearing. I know she’s not exactly a progressive stalwart, but I wouldn’t be mad if she were picked. (Not that I think it’ll be her.)

It's the campaign she should have run, but for some reason simply did not. Instead she became the candidate of highly educated whites and nothing more.

She did run it, from the very first speech announcing her candidacy. That story about her dad’s heart attack, her mom getting a minimum wage job, etc. was in her stump speech the entire time. Voters either failed to listen or thought it was “inauthentic” (for any number of reasons).

Rice seems like a lovely person, but I really, really hope it’s not her. She adds nothing to the ticket electorally, and Biden would almost certainly be able to build a similar relationship with a stronger candidate.

Interestingly, right after the leak came out, Kamala Harris skyrocketed on the PredictIt betting odds, going from 36 (below Susan Rice who was at 39 at the time) to 56 now. That's double what Susan Rice's price is right now which is 27. Everyone else is single digits.

If his choice isn't Kamala Harris, I'll be very surprised.

Yes, because they’re doing the same thing we’re doing and overreacting to every little tidbit. Betting markets are no smarter than the collective, and sometimes even less smart.

As mentioned before, we've only had leaks in the past because of folks watching travel itineraries. If we're getting a pre-recorded announcement, we might not have any leaks.
