As tensions mount between Washington and Moscow over a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine, U.S. intelligence has found the Kremlin is planning a multi-front offensive as soon as early next year involving up to 175,000 troops, according to U.S. officials and an intelligence document obtained by The Washington Post.

The unclassified U.S. intelligence document obtained by The Post, which includes satellite photos, shows Russian forces massing in four locations. Currently, 50 battlefield tactical groups are deployed, along with “newly arrived” tanks and artillery, according to the document.

“The Russian plans call for a military offensive against Ukraine as soon as early 2022 with a scale of forces twice what we saw this past spring during Russia’s snap exercise near Ukraine’s borders,” said an administration official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information. “The plans involve extensive movement of 100 battalion tactical groups with an estimated 175,000 personnel, along with armor, artillery and equipment.”

This seems to be a confirmation that there will be an invasion

Across the occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, 235 units of military equipment manned by Russia’s armed formations were have been deployed in violation of the Minsk agreements

That’s according to the Joint Forces Operation HQ press service, Ukrinform reports.

"OSCE SMM observers have recorded 235 units of military hardware manned by the Russian armed formations in the temporarily occupied territory, deployed in violation of the Minsk agreements," the statement said.

Thus, OSCE monitors found in various areas of the temporarily occupied territories a number of military hardware units deployed in violation of the withdrawal lines and located outside the designated arms storage areas.

This is about BM-21 Grad MLR systems, SAU 2S1 self-propelled artillery, howitzers, mortars, guns, as well as T-64 and T-72 main battle tanks. In addition, four armored personnel carriers were spotted in the city of Luhansk, moving in convoy.

T-64s and T-72s! BigSerg should read his news clippings before posting them idiotically. The Russians look like quite a Paper Tiger!

Can you stop trolling? It's annoying to see "This user is currently ignored" in my thread. Thanks

I always post all the news and they are usually more pro-Ukrainian than pro-Russian. I have almost never given my personal opinion on the conflict and have limited myself to sharing what I consider important. So, stop trolling

There is no trolling to speak of. But your first two sentences here are entirely false.

Quote. I have only given my personal opinion outside of this thread and all the "sources" I have posted are quite pro-Ukrainian
