First he tells Todd Akin to "drop out of public life," and now this. He's got a pretty strong no-BS marketing plan going on right now, doesn't he? Sort of the "anti-Romney," no?

Why does everything have to have a political framework?  He seems tired as hell and stressed out with what's going on there, to think his praising of Obama was anything other than genuine appreciation in that horrible situation is absurd.

This. And nothing but this.

The fact that people are even relating this to politics is rather sickening.

"Sickening?" Oh, come on. This is a political message board. Stop acting like talking about someone's political motives is some kind of horrible faux pas.

In any case, whether Christie's comments were real and spontaneous or calculated doesn't matter. What matters is that this helps set him up as the anti-Romney, who will no doubt take the brunt of the blame for a 2012 loss, along with extremists from the Tea Party who are, again, going to hand GOP seats to the Democrats for a six-year stretch, minimum.
