Get this straight, once and for all, Romney is  Mormon, but he is not a Mormon candidate.

He is a serious contender for President.

He is a Presidential candidate.

It's like Obama, he is black, but he is not a black candidate.  He is a Presidential candidate.

It's like Clinton, she is a woman, but she is not a a woman candidate, she is a Presidential candidate.
Romney gets 95% of Mormon votes. What percentage of Black votes does Obama get? What percentage of woman votes does Clinton get?

Romney is a Mormon, but he is not a Mormon candidate.

He is the Mormon candidate.

Romney is a Presidential candidate, and you should at least attempt to become somewhat more open minded and not show your prejudices so overtly.
Second half was just to get your goat. Grin I've got nothing against Mormons, anyways. (Well, not more than against any other sort of Evangelical. Possibly less.) Their herd voting instincts though... are a legitimate object for satire, to say the least.

if you love mormons so much, why don't you marry them? (you would be allowed to marry a bunch of them)
No you wouldn't. But you know that I suppose.

Interesting to note in the exit poll that not only were 27% of caucusgoers Mormon, but also that 34% of caucusgoers had incomes over $100,000.  Romney didn't necessarily perform any better statistically among them than other caucusgoers, but their % strikes me as inordinately high (to put it mildly)

To me, this really offers some validity about Jake's point concerning Romney's supporters that he made a couple of days ago.
What was that?

why are the results stalled for the republicans at 38% of precincts?
I guess the people supposed to count em are all busy watching the Dem Caucus election coverage on tv or calling up likely voters in SC in a GOTV effort. Grin

According to the Nevada GOP site (http://www.nvgopcaucus.com/results), they're up to 1398/1789 precincts, which would be about 78%, not 38%.
Thanks. I suppose the networks just stopped updating.

The county breakdown there is riddled with errors, though. (I'm reporting all candidates over 10%)

Carson City 0 of 26(!?) Romney 23% Huckabee 23% Paul 14% Hunter 14%(!?) McCain 11% Giuliani 11%
Churchill (19 of 19) Romney 41% McCain 18% Paul 17% Huckabee 12%
Clark (958 of 1070) Romney 57% Paul 12% McCain 11%
Douglas (41 of 41) Romney 42% Paul 14% Thompson 11%
Elko (22 of 41) Romney 52% Paul 15% McCain 12% Huckabee 10%
Esmeralda (3 of 5) Romney 30% Paul 25% McCain 15% Huckabee 12% Giuliani 10%
Eureka (4 of 4) Romney 28% McCain 21% Paul 19% Huckabee 17%
Humboldt (0)
Landor (sic) (0)
Lincoln (4 of 5) Romney 80%
Lyon (33 of 40) Romney 42% Paul 14% McCain 13% Thompson 13% Huckabee 10%
Mineral (12 of 12) Romney 34% Huckabee 27% McCain 15% Thompson 11%
Nye (0)
Pershing (6 of 6) Romney 32% McCain 20% Thompson 18% Paul 15%
Storey (0)
Washoe (286 of 438) Romney 45% McCain 17% Paul 15%
White Pine (10 of 10) Romney 69% McCain 11%

And they say divide by 0 where there|s no votes in.
