Sarpy County, Nebraska, home to Offutt AFB, HQ Strategic Air Command, now USSTRATCOM.  Mostly rural through the 60s, increasingly suburban since then.  Just south of Douglas County (Omaha):

Year   Winner            %R-%D,   Third %, Other %
1960:  Nixon          55.3 - 44.7
1964:  Johnson      44.2 - 55.8
1968:  Nixon          52.5 - 30.6, Wallace 17.0
1972:  Nixon          74.7 - 24.3
1976:  Ford            60.4 - 37.5, Other 2.1
1980:  Reagan       67.0 - 24.5, Anderson 7.3, Other 1.2
1984:  Reagan       74.3 - 24.2, Other 0.5
1988:  Bush           64.5 - 35.0, Other 0.5
1992:  Bush           50.4 - 26.4, Perot 22.8, Other 0.3
1996:  Dole            57.7 - 32.1, Perot 9.3, Other 0.8
2000:  Bush           64.0 - 32.3, Nader 2.9, Other 0.8
2004:  Bush           69.0 - 30, Other 1.0

In my suburban subdivision, I saw one Bush yard sign, no Kerry signs, around 5% of the cars had a Bush sticker, perhaps 1% a Kerry sticker.
Did you know...
only 6 counties in Nebraska went for the Democrat more often than once in that period.
Saline - 60, 64, 68, 76, 88, 92, 96
Thurston - 64, 88, 96, 04
Dakota - 64, 88, 96
Butler, Greeley, Sherman - 60, 64, 76
32 counties - 64
55 counties - never

Woodbury County

1968: Nixon
1972: Nixon
1976: Ford
1980: Reagan
1984: Reagan
1988: Dukakis

Pretty odd pattern there...

1960 Nixon
1964 Goldwater
1968 Nixon
1972 Nixon
1976 Ford
1980 Reagan
1984 Reagan
1988 Bush
1992 Bush
1996 Dole
2000 Bush
2004 Kerry

It's about time, too.

Is that Fairfax County?
Fairfax voted for Johnson.
I think it's either Danville or (more likely, since Danville's a city, not a county) Albemarle county.

1976 - Ford
1980 - Carter
1984 - Reagan
1988 - Dukakis

It probably is Washtenaw. Smiley
Pitkin Co, Colorado, also went from Nixon to McGovern to Ford.

Spl2, that site you linked to has less information than the Atlas and is wrong on 2004.
Oops my bad. lol
Edit-
I just thought it was cool
I think that's just on new elections. I don't think the Atlas has stuff on 1796. Or maybe I'm mistaken - I'm no paying member. Tongue
