Am I to assume that this bill is merely a more convoluted form of yet another BRTD poll, in which he puts forward a deified view of Opebo that pretty much nobody will share?  I literally do not believe I have ever encountered anybody so unable to take a hint.

Yet more proof that this game has gone to hell in a handcart.

Wrong Al.

Handbasket's are way cooler than handcarts. Handcarts? Come on what are you Uzbek? Or do you just support the Khmer Rouge?
Well he's a Brit born under the government of the Khmer Rouge supporting Maggie Thatcher, so no surprise there.

Introducing an amendment to change the bill's text to:

Magnificent Victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran on 11 February, which is the anniversary of Khomeini's coming to power in 1979; the enthusiastically celebrated No Ruz or Iranian New Year (21 to 24 March); and the tear-jerking Heart-Rending Departure of the Great Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 June

Establishment of Heart-Rending Departure of the Great Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Day Bill

1. The fourth of June is hereby designated "Heart-Rending Departure of the Great Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Day".
2. All federal institutions are to be closed on this day.
3. This is to honor the death of Mr Ruhollah Khomeini.

If we're going to have wacko national holidays, let us at least synchronize them with other countries'.

Nay.
That date is a possible date for Easter, so we'd lose a holiday.

Aye. It's a beautiful name, and a good date for an extra holiday.

Lol, I guess most people voted on whether or no to pass the bill.
