It's not similar to basebeall - it's superior.

Superior to baseball? Such a thing does not exist, prude.

Actually the term I think you meant to use in that context was 'snob' not 'prude'. Cricket is an endurance sport - I'd love to see your roidded up baseballers staying outside and running for 6 hours.
"Running" is hardly the appropriate term. More like "ambling". Of course somewhat the same applies to baseball.

Seriously though, I sorta grew to like cricket when I was in India and had no access to moving pictures of football. Cricket beats Baseball in my estimation, and baseball beats American "foot""ball" hands down (I read they actually call that sport Rugby Norteamericano in Spanish. A better name for it, though still insulting to a worthwhile sport.)

Okay. So what exactly did the "fat retard" do that led to Pakistan boycotting the match?

Accused Pakistan of tampering with the ball
I'd understood that much.

Yes, but it's never been done before. Hair is the umpire that repeatedly no-balled Muralitharan in 1995.
What was that about? It was 1995... I had never been to India at the time... Cricket does not get covered in German newspapers.

I think Hair's career is prety much over, especially after this whole leaked email thing that was supposed to be confidential. I swear football fans that think that FIFA is corrupt should have a look at the ICC to see what real corruption is like!
Cricket has never pretended not to be corrupt. Huh

"Continentals think life is a game. The English think Cricket is a game."

None of the umpires (nor the match referee, whatever he does) had read the bloody laws recently! (they were unaware that only 20 overs are needed to officially constitute a match).
A little less cryptical, my dear. Think "guy who learned the laws, more or less, from watching Indian television and reading Indian newspapers, and who's held a cricket bat about three times in his life"

Basically there was a huge f*** up resulting in Australia being sent out to bowl when it was basically impossible to see anything when they'd already won the game...
Ah, alright.
