What's with the solid Democratic colors on Cape Cod and... is that Nantucket?
No, that's Martha's Vineyard. And it's just the tip of Cape Cod.
And the answer's obvious...No Working Class Democrats (except at the Western Tip of the Vineyard, but they ain't White), thence no Reagan Democrats either.

Cape Cod is all blue except for Provincetown, which is a gay haven.  I think you mean Nantucket, which is a refuge for limousine liberals.
And Blue.

Lotsa students & etc in that blob; contains Amherst and all that. As another thing to note, if you look at Middlesex county, you'll see that Reagan won Lowell.
No, because I don't know my way around that area that well. I see that Reagan won all the townships in that general area bar one, though.

Martha's Vineyard. Or just read through the thread. Smiley

What's the island below Cape Cod that's mostly red?  I thought it was Nantucket.  Nantucket is now a haven for flaked-out limousine liberals, but maybe it wasn't as much back then.

How do they get their limousines to an island, Mr. Talibangelical conservative? Tongue

Indeed, the term :limousine liberal is highly absurd as the wealthy broke very heavily (as always) Republican.

How does that explain the Hollywood stars?

The vast majority of the wealthy aren't Hollywood stars.  Most are businesspeople, who vote strongly Republican.  I think it's funny we have a disparaging term for rich liberals, who vote to increase their own taxes to none of their own gain, but being a rich conservative is fine.
Well with a conservative rich at least there's nothing to be surprised about.
