I prefer tabs, with one exception. Dave Redistricting App uses Silverlight and doesn't run well on Firefox. So, when I'm working on DRA maps I have an IE window as well as my regular browser. I reserve separate windows for other applications such as spreadsheets and word processing.

Same here.
I used Chrome rather than IE, but yeah.
