Either it happens or it does not happen.

That would suggest everything in life is 100:0 or 0:100, not 50:50. That wouldn't even average to 50:50 because the 0:100 events far outweigh the 100:0 events.

And if you subscribe to the whole multiverse thing, then for everything that happens there are an infinity other things that could happen but did not. So it averages out to almost 0:100.
