4 people is perfect for the Democratic debate. If it's 90 minutes, then that's a considerable amount of time for each candidate.

Well, the debate format sounds good. 45 minutes of real debating between the candidates is promised, and then 45 minutes of the traditional debating style.

Well, this is awesome. The Republicans hate each so much.

Ron Paul is seriously the only one up there that makes any sense. His arguments have facts behind them, and he doesn't twist random historical events to suit his own world view.

Did McCain just say that he knows people who have gone to Canada for healthcare and they know that America doesn't need Canada's system?

What?

God... I wish Huckabee wasn't so insane on social issues. He sounds so sensible when he's not talking about religion, abortion, etc.

Romney and Huckabee were the only ones who answered the not-Obama question well, in my opinion. This insistence on 100% conservatism by the Republican primary base is just hurting their chances in November.

I'd give a lot of money to hear what they were talking about. Richardson and Paul and Giuliani and Edwards particularly.

Kate Edwards (just shown in the camera shot of the audience) is hot. Tongue

I like how Obama (with SS) and now Clinton (with healthcare) are coming to Edwards' defense.

Well, it's pretty clear that Edwards is on Obama's side, as he rips Clinton for attacking him.

Obama/Edwards vs. Clinton Richardson.

68% of the vote vs. 32% of vote. Hehe.

Are they ever going to talk about domestic affairs? Or...?

Richardson's strong, anti-desk agenda has won me over. Only Richardson understands the threat that desks pose to our nation.

Dems didn't quite like the 'work with republicans bit' but the Indys did Smiley
Then I am ashamed of Democrats, if partisanship is their goal. -_-

How do these Indys play a role in a closed primary?

They don't.

I have to go register as Republican before I can vote in my state's primary in May.
Then whats with all the Indy talk? Is there a Primary day party change law in NH?
It's an open primary.

I never knew that Edwards co-wrote the Patients Bill of Rights. He should talk about that more often.

Damn, that was an awesome answer by Edwards.
Yeah... I hope he gets to do something in the Obama administration.

No, Polnut has a point. Debates in the general matter a lot. Kerry was behind Bush by like 10 points before their first debate: Kerry did well, Bush did poorly, and Kerry gained the momentum. Obama needs to transfer the passion of his stump speech to the debate.
