I honestly don't get why anyone wouldn't like Michelle Obama (other than the one pathetic, obvious reason). There's really nothing grating or even partisan about her.

This speech is an amazing critique of the Republican "we built it" nonsense. It's not about attacking success or denigrating hard work; on the contrary, it's about humility and acknowledging the hard work of others that provided that foundation for you to succeed. When you juxtapose her message with the message of the RNC's first night, there's a very stark contrast between Republican arrogance and insularity and Democratic humility and coming together. Great stuff, good job speech writers.

The problem is the disconnect between the rhetoric and the reality.  I think it will all come down to Friday.
