I'm sure President Romney would veto this.

Exactly. Even if Obama signs SOPA (I don't think the bill is going to pass anyway), the other choice would be even worse.

Er, let's be clear that SOPA is a terrible bill, is completely unnecessary, and has the potential to seriously damage the internet as we now know it. The idea that only adolescent nerds oppose it is just patently untrue, as nearly every major internet company has come out in opposition.

That said, Romney would also sign it, and Romney would also be worse than Obama on every issue as well. If you care about protecting the internet, not voting for Obama does not help towards that goal at all.

Any chance the pornographic industry could utilize this bill to take down like 90% of porn sites hosted in the US?

Jared Polis offered an amendment to make SOPA not apply to porn today, but the porn industry hacks in the House defeated it.

People who support SOPA shouldn't be allowed on this site/the internet at all.

Inks, there's no evidence that piracy (I don't use the word stealing because nothing is being stolen and I use the word piracy because pirates are awesome) is actually negatively impacting ABC's (or anyone else's) profits or its incentives to make new content. SOPA is addressing a problem that doesn't exist.
