The MSZP has been getting trounced in polls for ever now. Since 2005 or 2006 atleast, IIRC.

Is Fidesz very far right? Or just a conservative party?

It started as a student libertarian anti-communist movement, but switched to being a right-wing party, but it's anti-globalization and dirigiste (moreso than the MSZP) and still has wet dreams of a Greater Hungary.

Funny to note that most Hungarian privatizations were done by Fidesz in the early '90's in its libertarian-liberal days.
