Any specific ideas you'd like to bring to the job, Hashe?

I'd like to get the DoEA active again, and not a dead and dusty office that doesn't do anything. I'll continue the Foreign Policy Review started by SoEA Al. I'd be interested in continuing the China panel that SoEA MasterJedi wished to spark up, but got lost in the realm of things. I hope that answers the scope of your question.

There are some indications that a number of matters regarding the foreign affairs of Atlasia shall be up for debate presently. What are your thoughts on these issues?

The US recognition issue is the big thing that will take up the DoEA and the White House these next few weeks. While I am personally divided on this plan, but I will in no way let any personal views I may have on that matter let me interfere with my work with the President and the Senate to draft a clear question on the issue.

Also, one specific question. How do you feel about the ICC and, in your opinion, should Atlasia become a member?

I assume you mean the International Criminal Court and not the International Communist Current Grin.
Seriously, though, I am a supporter of the work of the ICC and I personally believe that Atlasia should become a member. If confirmed, it'll be an issue I'd be interested in working with the President and the Senators on to see what specific stance we should take.

Mr Hashemite, in light of the apparent failure of the Ethical Trade Policy Act, will you be imposing sanctions against Thailand in light of developments there since passage of the Atlasia - Thailand Free Trade Act?

I would withhold from imposing sanctions at the moment, but it would be a course of action to be considered while working with the Senate and the President.

I shall be voting against this nominee.  Anyone who has seceded from the country should not be allowed to represent our nation to foreign countries.  What kind of message does that send?
That's a question in case the nominee didn't notice
Looks like the nominee will simply dodge the non-softball questions

I ask again:
Why should we let you, a person who is a treasonist to this great country of ours, represent us to the world when you renounced your citizenship?  What kind of message does that send?

Rhetorical questions.
