Absolutely horrible. The cowards and terrorists behind this need to be shot or locked up forever.

However, at the same time, I hope (a futile hope, mind you) that people don't overreact respond with hatred, intolerance and mindless knee-jerk xenophobia. I'm sure the last thing these free-thinkers would have wanted is for people to embrace Panzergirl's hatred and racism. Alas, it's France and not Canada.

Only the fate of the Kouachi's hostage(s) seems be unknown at the moment. The hostages in Paris appear to have all survived.

It would appear that the hostage in the 77 is safe as well.

I haven't heard about the motherf-cker at the Porte de Vincennes. Is he dead?

I'm not sure what Le Monde is reporting, but AFP/I-télé is saying that the Porte de Vincennes motherf-cker has been 'neutralized' without being able to say if he's dead or alive.
