But they're brothers. Do they hate each other or something? This is like something out of a movie.

More like out of the Hauts-de-Seine UMP in France, Puteaux in particular.

I can't think of any parallel to this in the past. Nelson and Winthrop Rockefeller both received votes for President at the 1968 Republican National Convention, but they weren't really running against each other.

It happens all the time in the Hauts-de-Seine UMP, especially in Puteaux. Last time, the father ran for mayor against the incumbent mayor, his daughter.

Well, yeah, I know that. You've mentioned it in the past. But I meant on a national level.

Otávio Mangabeira in Bahia was a conservative while João Mangabeira was a socialist, though both were anti-Vargas. They didn't feud, though.

Uhm... are the varying shades of red for each candidate meant to 'indicate' the left-wingness of the candidate? Abbott, dark red, hardest left; D Miliband, pink, least left?

Is there any pattern going on here? I can't really tell.

Internal party patterns in certain European left-wing parties. while they exist, are hard to catch, so I'd assume it's the same thing here.

It seems like EdM has won, if I understand the fail website.
