As a voter, seeing Biden speaking like these fascists are just rambunctious middle schoolers makes him extremely unfit for this moment which is so depressing.

Well, but that was a choice of democrats, right? Conciliation and finding a middle ground as a goal, not a tough radical fighter.

Today was obviously bad, but it was likely just a one day event. Some people are overreacting. It may actually end up shocking some people into sanity and more reasonable behavior for the next two weeks.

Something that's been bothering me:

When I watched Joe Biden speak live, all I could think about is how elderly and frail he sounded. He didn't sound strong, and strength is something we need in light of a mob attack on the Capitol. He sounded very weak. I don't have confidence in him.

The strength lies in the people, not one man. I would rather have the president be weak and frail, rather than have the continuing worship of charismatic strongmen at the top. Too many these days (from both parties) are looking for an idol in a president.

I don't mean this in a vindictive way, although I understand how it might seem like that, but has anyone noticed that Trump supporters are really trashy? Even Trump himself seems to have noticed it, as he reportedly expressed disgust on aesthetic grounds over how “low class” his supporters looked. But it is about behavior as well as appearance. In my view if you really love Trump, and you want to represent him, you have the obligation to look good and carry yourself well, since your behavior reflects on those of Trump supporters as a whole.
