I have done a little detective work myself. After weeks of scrounging around the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, interviewing police officers, taking tours of the White House, and calling reporters, I have finally discovered the source of the Plame leak: it was none other than everyone's childhood fantasy, the Fairy Godmother.
Yes, that is correct, the Fairy Godmother appeared over Scooter Libby's bedpost in early 2003 to tell him that Joe Wilson's wife was an undercover CIA agent. She said that she was too old and embittered to grant any wishes so she would tell him a secret instead. Oh boy!
That also explains why no one has been charged with the crime of leaking a national secret: nobody did it! It was in fact a mythical creature. Now that that is settled, we can all get a good night's sleep knowing that the law of the U.S. of A. has once again been enforced.
