If those 2,043 people were put on an island -- even one with abundant resources, fertile soil, and oil, would they be able to generate the billions in wealth that they enjoy? After all, they earned it, right? No, they would not.

Wealth is the product of society -- of many people working together. As such, it should be distributed more fairly than this.
