The Democratic primary electorate is getting inured to the media's attitude towards Hillary as Republican primary electorates have been to the media's attitudes towards their candidates for years. The more they're perceived to be too hard on her now, the less credibility any future negative coverage of her will have in the eyes of Democratic primary voters.
