Axelrod is a smart guy and a lot of what he says is true. I don't really think his antics are worth getting offended over.

I mean sure, if everyone was as sane as the people in this thread, she wouldn't need a rationale for running.

But her lack of a strong rationale for running (in contrast to Edwards' "two americas" or Obama's "hope and change") in '08 pretty much fed into every negative stereotype of her imaginable. I think this is what Axelrod means.
