Michael Moore was at the GOP convention too. And Ann Coulter was at the Democratic one. Just because someone goes to your convention doesn't mean the party agrees with all their views.

uh, Moore was sitting in Jimmy Carter's private box right along side the former president.

Moore was booed at the Republican Convention and didn't come back after the first night.

I think swing voters were pretty clear on Moore's standing with both parties.

All that means is Jimmy Carter likes Michael Moore. An invitation to the convention only does not necessarily mean the rank and file or the party leaders like him.
