Do you buy into the belief the Ahamdinejad is the modern day Adolf Hitler and Iran is the modern day Nazi Germany? I don't doubt that Ahamdinejad is an anti-semite and is a lunatic, but the Iranian Presidency isn't really that powerful. Not only that, but the fact that moderate conservatives and reformists did well in Iran's municipal elections, as well as in the Assembly of Experts elections that were held last month, diminishes his stature somewhat. Especially in regards to the Assembly of Experts, the government body in charge of selecting and monitoring the Supreme Leader in Iran. I always felt that an ultraconservative victory there would posed Ahamdinejad's religious mentor in a position to succed the current one. Also, doesn't Iran have the strongest coventional military in the Middle East? What are your thoughts?
