Let’s all be brutally honest - we are watching this first presidential debate for all the car crashes.

Donald Trump is a United States made Hummer. Joe Biden is a Soviet automobile. I lived in Moscow right at the downfall of the Soviet Union - brace yourselves.

Most of those Soviet-made automobiles are still on the road. Haven't seen too many Hummers around, hmm.

Yeah, Trump is just spewing it but Biden's ceding the initiative to Trump. He's got to take control.

Biden is refusing to get baited into Trump's games like Hillary did.

My god this is a trainwreck.

Trump is in front of a microphone and on TV. Did you expect something different to come from that?

For all the gloating from right wingers over Trump acting like a spoiled five year old trying to talk over their parents, this is the exact opposite of what voters want responding to a national health crisis where over 200k have died.

Is it time to give up on this election yet? The fact that Dems here see a rambling idiot as the winner does not give me hope that Americans are capable of having the basic intelligence to make a sound decision

I concur and I think it won't get better until the non-answering participant's mic is muted

But then they'd be called biased for making Republicans follow the rules and it might cost them ratings so they have to let Trump do whatever he wants instead.

Trump could get carried out in a straight jacket to a mental institution and you'd still be claiming he won.

He would have, if Trump's based lived in reality in the first place.

Trump told his supporters to intimidate voters at the polling places, to be violent if they don't get what they want, to side with white supremacist organizations. Trump lied and rambled and shouted over everyone, attacking the idea of a debate, bullying, being irrational, not making sense. What a disgrace, an embarrassment, a failure, a dictator wannabe.

It is a testament to the robustness of our democracy that we haven't descended into a dictatorship.

Trust me, we are. Trump intends on doing whatever he can to use the election, his brownshirts, and and the courts to make it official.
