Well, Nietzsche was converted into a Nazi icon by his sister so everyone considered him a Nazi. Then that was revised. According to my philosophy professor this has led to a revision of Nietzsche that has gone too far and ignores the fact that his views were pretty disgusting. I have read no original Nietzsche, only qoutes from second-hand sources both of whom were very negative towards him. Based on all that I know, negative, but I wouldn't consider it an informed opinion.

Actually From the small segments of
Beyond Good & Evil I have read I think some of his basic concepts are good (Haven't read anything else of him) and I don't totally disagree with his view of 19th Century Christianity (though not Christianity in General) but his Aristocratic radicalism and general contempt of human beings that weren't Nietzsche made him a very horrible person.
