A great sense of smug triumph and smarm.

Do you still hold to your claim that it's completely wrong if anyone belongs to a religious group other than that of their parents ("or perhaps their spouse") as you said in Mibbit?

I never said it was completely wrong in any moral sense - I was saying that it's almost never how it is done in this country. You are one or the other, you will be born one and will die as one in the vast majority of cases (those that don't usually just drop identifying with either, but those cases are often more complicated than they seem). I don't think this setup is particularly ethical and certainly not justifiable if one were to take the truth claims of religions seriously, but who does that?

And yet you didn't come say hello in mine. For shame, Irishman.

If I were to visit Ireland, what would be a place you'd recommend visiting?

The North East Coast - north of Belfast up to at least Bushmills. Galway City.

Probably not much of one, apart from a collection of TDs who work together to avoid being independents.

Are you a threatre-goer? What are your thoughts on that art versus cinema?

I'd like to go to the Theatre more often than I do. I haven't gone once this year but I am going in September to a performance of Krapp's Last Trapp performed by Stephen Rea. Looking forward to it.

Second question needs to be better defined. Cinema is an art form in itself, and would not be the only one which can't be understood except in relation to commercial realties, as true for 'art cinema' as Marvelslop.

Which columnist/pundit, on either side of the Atlantic, annoys you the most?

Feel free to list more than one.

Too many to mention and not a productive use of my negative energies.
