Wagner's campaign is actually a mess. I have not seen a single Wagner or Barletta general election ad.

It's almost like Wagner is trying to do as bad as possible. I mean, he'll still get like 30-35% because the core GOP-Trumpers will stick with him no matter what, esp after these ridiculous comments. But man he's gotta be pushing away every Indie and Moderate out there. At this point, knock on wood, I would not be surprised to see Wolf hit 60%+. Wagner is just a straight up disaster.

Still have not seen a single ad on TV for him (I guess bc he's broke) and in my suburban Montgomery County town, while there are lawn signs out for the Republican State Senate candidates, there is no signs to be found for Wagner or Barletta.

I also just have to laugh at the story about Wagner being broke after losing $10 million of his own money. You can't make this stuff up. And I'm going to assume the RGA and all GOP affiliated groups have abandoned him since day 1.

He also lost $600,000 of his own campaign contributors' money by throwing it into failed investments LOL

I don't think the PA GOP could've engineered a worse candidate tbh.

Wolf's reaction was great too:

@ByChrisBrennan:
.@GovernorTomWolf was his typical restrained self at the @PhillyInquirer & @PhillyDailyNews editorial board meeting today when asked about @realScottWagner’s video threat to stomp him with golf cleats. “First of all, I think that would hurt. I don’t think I’d like that.” – at Philadelphia Media Network, LLC

Wow, Scott Wagner is one of the worst candidates this cycle even though he made a more civilized impression during the debate with Governor Wolf.

Go Wolf and Fetterman! By the way: Does anyone think John Fetterman runs for governor in four years? I wouldn't be surprised if he does and wins regardless of who sits in the Oval Office.

I'm not sure, but I think he'll run for something in the future, whether it be Gov or Senate. He's that good. And he's been a boon to Wolf's already great re-election campaign.

Scott Wagner's new deplorable sign to smear Wolf and Fetterman (Fetterman recently posted this in Instagram). Wagner is running neck-in-neck with Mr. DeSantis of Florida for the most screwed up Republican candidate this cycle.

Yep. Saw this. And I was like... are they really that dumb to try and paint Tom Wolf of all people as a socialist?!

Can confirm the trend. My very Republican grandmother said she thought Wagner's job (waste management) was very in line with how he talks ("Spikes" comment) and that he's horrible. She said she still likes Tom Wolf too, surprisingly.

If Wagner is even turning off hard R's then this is going to be a disaster for him.

Wagner winning the special election for his Senate seat was a fluke, and he barely even won the primary this year against some unknown named "Paul Mango".

If you were part of the LGBTQ+ community in Pennsylvania, Paul Mango was VERY well known for his disgusting views about trans* people.  As much as I dislike Wagner, Mango would have been worse, so I'm glad I was able to vote to take him out on the primary, even though it meant Wagner winning.    Cry

As an R in PA, do you expect a lot of your fellow Rs to vote Wolf? It would appear, anecdotally, that a lot of Rs are so put off with Wagner that they're either voting Wolf or leaving it blank.

Hoping we get a last Franklin and Marshall + Muhelenberg poll. Frustrated that we haven't gotten a new poll in a MONTH.

I'd imagine Wolf's handling of Pittsburgh would prop him up.

Not to mention we haven't gotten a poll since "golf spikes"-gate either.

The margins for Wolf in the suburbs are eye-popping. Seeing him at nearly 70% in my home county (Montco) is amazing.

I think Josh Shapiro would be a great Senator. He won even in an R year (2016).

Meanwhile, I'm still pissed that PA-10 and PA-16 were so damn close that we *almost* had them.
