AOC will probably stick around for some time, but I see Tlaib losing against unified opposition in 2020. I just don't see her radical positions as being that popular...

Yeah, her radical positions probably aren't that popular in a district where Trump got *checks notes* %18.1 of the vote.

You know, the worst part of the whole Trump/Mueller/Barr/Russia kabuki play is that a discussion about possible rapprochement with Russia would be one well worth having if this were a sane political environment domestically. I wouldn't necessarily support such a rapprochement, but it's a legitimate issue with serious implications for the United States and our alliances either way. But it can't be discussed, because neither party can touch it without being seen to be covering for a grotesque con man who's surrounded himself with loathsome sycophants.

Why, as someone who claims to be from Portland, do you spell favorite with the British extra U?

Force of habit

Also the title and the poll title are different questions. I would most want to live in a place where I can get a good job and afford to live well, and MA seems the best choice. However, my favorite state listed is Hawaii - although whether it's also my favourite state is another matter.

It is the state you would most like to live in. I use the two synonymously although I can understand where the confusion arose.

Any American who uses British spelling deserves recognition, especially if they defend this usage.

Thanks mate. It's probably from reading too many English novels in my youth.

I must confess that I question as to whether or not we are a serious nation anymore.

So how long until the brave person who leaked this information out will "accidentally commit suicide?"
