I don't mean to write off this survey, but it looks like it was mainly a survey about offshore drilling, and at the end they asked who they wanted fro president.  I think the wording had a big impact.  I still expect McCain to win this state in Nov., but it may explain the huge difference in numbers.  This one's wording is almost like a push poll.

Rasmussen Reports conducted a special Florida survey to measure the immediate impact of the offshore drilling issue on the Presidential race. As one part of the survey, respondents were told that McCain favored offshore drilling and said it would bring down the price of gas and oil. They were also told that Barack Obama opposed offshore drilling and said it would not bring down the price of gas and oil. After hearing the views of both McCain and Obama, most Florida voters agreed with McCain--61% said it was likely that offshore drilling would reduce gas prices. Only 34% disagreed and said that offshore drilling would not accomplish that goal.

But I guess it contradicts that when it says

However, after voters were told that McCain favored offshore drilling and Obama opposed it, McCain’s lead increased to eleven points, 49% to 38%.

Certainly seems like  McCain state still.  Even Kerry was winning some Florida polls at the end of 04.

Look asking a question in that manner is completely unprofessional for a pollster.  It's like the Sierra Club calling people and saying, would you support plans that will put oil rigs along your beach ruining the view in order to make profits for the oil companies?  Did you know that McCain supports doing that?

McCain is probably going to win FL, but this poll was unprofessional.
