These natural pauses we take after major events are good for sanity and pace, but I'd like to remind the government
@RGM
@Lumine
@Dereich
@Kingpoleon
They have much on the table, including Nazi prisoners and the most crucial element of deciding when/if to reopen legislative government

Hoping we can get some action on that in the coming week

While I appreciate our pauses after big events, the game cannot really continue until @Lumine and @Dereich return to form. I am not in any rush but I hope we can have this this week.

Alright folks, @Dereich has gotten back to me (still waiting on @Lumine). So put on your Stalhelm/caps/Pickelhuabe and let’s get back into it!

My apologies! It's been a very busy week, haven't been able to devote much time to the games.

I'm afraid I'll have to drop out, at least temporarily. I just don't have the time right now due to RL pressure, though I'm hoping to be able to resume playing - if possible - once I have more spare time.

(Thankfully Lettow-Vorbeck - in my opinion - isn't an indispensable character, really wouldn't want to hurt the game given how brilliant it's been)

No problem! I’ll NPC you for now and you can rejoin anytime!

Still following this game.

I can't imagine Britain or France being okay Eupen-Malmedy being returned to Germany...

What's next, the port of Danzig?

Belgium considered selling it in the 20s too

I should note

It is impossible to lose seats in the by election, but potential gains are limited by the seat pool

You can lose percentage of seats however

Can you elaborate?

As in while you are going to gain raw seats you may lose per capita depending on how others do.

A reminder

There are no individual seats under the German constitution

It is a proportional representation system

Every single German will be voting for a pool of 143 seats come February

Now there are many proposals waiting, but I shall put up Wel's anti Nazi bill first

If @Dereich would be so kind to make us a parliament chart I would be very grateful

I am not blind to the decline in activity we've unfortunately suffered (another player messaged me a few days ago announcing he'd be leaving the game for a few weeks). While I believe this game has been remarkably successful, and certainly beyond my expectations, and has even changed the way historical games can function, we've been left with only 3-4 active players.

While on the one hand I owe to it those who wish to continue to do so, I can't continue as if nothing is happening.

Thoughts?

I would happily admit new players, but I don't want to give out players that people have spent months refining into unique interesting characters.

RGM had the unique idea of suggesting of he managing the entire Reich government (not as Hugenberg, but managing the entire government entities), Devout Centrist obviously managing the KPD and GotFan the SPD

I'd love to have a Kaiser Wilhelm in game. Could make things interesting.
For the record,  I would love to play the pretender to the throne as soon as it is available.

Totally! He is increasingly relevant! Do you want Wilhelm II or Crown Prince Wilhelm?

I was under the impression we were managing our respective parties.

I'd be okay with RGM managing the Govt if Dereich consents to that

You and GotFan’s situations wouldn’t change

Any word from Dereich on this?

No word....

And while @Dereich has been AWESOME coming in to take FvP he has not been very active since late August.

So I assume we'll go ahead with the plan?

Who is the claimant exactly?

Wilhelm II is the legitimate claimant but he is widely rejected by liberals and foreign powers

Crown Prince Wilhelm has become a more likely pragmatic pick

His children are also considered

I would almost prefer for RGM to take on the role of the entire cabinet and Reich Chancellor as to streamline action. But if he wants to take on FvP exclusively Im not opposed.

I would prefer that RGM keep Hugenberg, given the effort put into that character.

In that case, I can take over Von Papen on a temporary basis, if needed.

As has been observed, I have been mostly away since a major transition began at work1 about a month back, my time to address this game as it deserves has been extremely limited. For a few weeks I thought it would be sufficient if I ignored things for a few days and followed up with a clump of responses, but while that might suit some games this one in particular requires rapid response and action. So I'll officially withdraw as von Papen. I really want to thank KaiserDave for actually reaching out to have me join and for keeping everything so compelling and fresh.

1 I am moving to a new courtroom at the start of next month requiring me to resolve as many of my pending cases as possible, to push up as many time consuming things such as depositions to this month on the cases that cannot be resolved, and to learn the 95 new cases I am inheriting.

Thank you for understanding and for all your great gameplay!
