This is awesome!!! The dialogue is just fantastic. Dubya was perfect!

And it makes me hate Newt Gingrich more, but I enjoy that.

Re-elect the President!

I guess....

At this point as a Dem I'm planning on winning big in the 2010 midterms

Of these Republicans I find much of them just awful

I'm okay with Ronnie on a personal level but I can't go along with his economics, and Mitt is fine I guess.

I guess I'd prefer Pataki or Chafee, but I'd be a full Kerry supporter. That being said he has little to no chance of reelection barring a crisis that helps him.

Sad

Allen is clearly becoming the leading conservative in the race. Iowa Straw Poll also good for Mitt and Jeb!. Although I do think Brownback's support is inflated by the poll.

As for my views on the candidates, Allen and Brownback are just awful, Ron Paul is sane (and a breath of fresh air) on some things and loony on others, Mitt is eh, Jeb! isn't good, and Pataki is probably just okay.

The 2008 Republican primary sucked. It was Ron Paul vs. the other douchebags Tongue

Why, you want to have a 2010 bloodbath worse then OTL?

That’s clearly not why

2010 is bound to be a bloodbath either way, depending on who wins the election. I’m taking this through Inauguration Day 2021/2025 possibly.

Yeah, 2010 has to be in the calculus. I guess I hope a moderate like Mittens Romniscient wins and the Dem bench recovers in 2010.

Very excited!

Wow, Kerry's numbers are really terrible.

As well the primary, bad bad bad debate for Giuliani. Allen is odious and terrible as always, and I just hope he and Brownback split the far right vote so Mittens or even Jeb! wins. Not that I'm huge fans of them, I just want Allen and Brownback to lose.

I wish Huckabee was doing better, he's far better than Allen or Brownback.

I figured that Kerry's administration would dial down the war in Iraq, making pro-war hawks more popular than they were in OTL after two disastrous terms under Bush Jr. Hence Huckabee's populism (and don't get me wrong, Huck was as pro-war as anyone else) isn't as appealing as Senator Brownback is.

Fair

The Huck's appeal to me as opposed to Allen and Brownback is that he deviates from conservative orthodoxy on a variety of issues, although on the war you're right.

The December chapter is 99% finished. I plan to get January (and the first primaries!) up tonight, at the latest tomorrow.

Until then, if you have any "where are they now?" type questions, I'll be happy to answer. I don't know much of anything besides sports though so don't ask me how the Baltimore Ravens are playing Tongue

Did the Mets win the 2006 NLCS!!!!?Huh

Jk jk

What's New York real estate developer Donald Trump up too?

Cheering for Mitt against the two headed snake of Brownback and Allen.

EDIT: But of course I'll support statesman and poet DW Perry over any of them. Also I can totally see Weld looking stupid at that march.

Wow, Allen is really underperforming! I guess Jeb! or Mitt I’d be fine with, just not Brownback or an Allen comeback.

Great writing!

Just a heads up, the next update might take a day or two before it gets up because of Super Tuesday. I’m thinking of condensing the Super Tuesday results in the interest of time but I need to find a format.

Great!

At some point could we get a HRC chapter, she's been lurking around, I'm curious to know her thoughts.

Awesome! Looks like Jeb! is the one but there could be a surprise!

Also, fun fact, may or may not have a distant relative who was on that NY Philharmonic tip to the DPRK.

Kerry could very well win, which would be a major lol moment and I will love to see the Jeb! crowds face when it happens. But it's probably very very bad for the Democratic Party.
