Some good names here.  I'm gonna go with Proxmire, but I am torn.  I like Feingold, Obey and Lucey also.

I am not surprised to see so much support for Feingold.  I am surprised to see that I am the only Proxmire fan.  I would think his golden fleece award would have endeared him to some of the budget watchers here.

Yankee,

Tommy Thompson is a liberal because he, like Dick Lugar or John Warner or George Voinovich or Richard Burr, doesn't spew hate every ten seconds.  It's not that much different from the extremists in my party who are calling Obama a conservative or a moderate.  Because he is forced to be pragmatic on some issues, the extremists want nothing to do with him.

It's sad, really.  I can't imagine anyone questioning Tommy Thompson's conservative credentials.  Perhaps the fact that he is also a very nice person is what Coburn objects to.  Perhaps "nice" and "decent" are what Coburn finds so objectionable.

Actually, IMO Lugar gets to cozy with the liberals. But he's def a moderate at least. John Warner is a good man.

Richard Burr rocks!!! he's my senator!!! Cheesy

On what issue is Senator Lugar cozy with liberals?  Inquiring minds want to know.
