The original Q called himself that because he claimed to have one of these clearances.

Fox is showing a video of a fire in Portland during the 2020 protests right now, if anyone was wondering.

Has anyone checked on Rupert yet? Between this, ScoMo losing and Boris resigning, he's gotta be having a bad time.

By all accounts, Murdoch is done with Trump and would much rather DeSantis be the nominee.

Lock him up!

He needs to go to jail for the rest of his life. Needless to say, he shouldn't be allowed to hold any sort of public office ever again.

Btw, I feel like this is the first time we've ever heard Smith make a public statement.

Did we ever get to the root of why Trump thought he could take all these documents with him?

I think it's as simple as Trump believing he's entitled to do whatever he feels like, and rules don't matter.  He fits all the characteristics of a narcissistic sociopath.

How could Roll Roons not see/understand this, all on his own?
It's so obvious and starring you right in the face, that trump is a Classified (no pun intended) Lunatic.
But I guess if someone wants to wear huge Trump-Cultist horse blinders for over 7 years, that's your choice.

If you think I'm a Trump cultist there's no helping you.

Again, I think you have it backwards: NOT prosecuting Trump poses a greater danger to our elections and institutions than prosecuting him does.  I'll acknowledge that there's some damage either way, but that's Trump's fault for starting the whole mess!

No, I really don't see how this could be the case.  The documents have been recovered, so any ongoing threat to national security (if there ever was one) has been neutralized.  The only question now is whether or not we are going to prosecute a presidential candidate in the midst of a campaign.  If you believe Trump can be defeated fairly, you are better off leaving it at that and not putting the outcome at risk to allegations of interference and impropriety.

(snip)

Would you not prosecute a murderer because the murder is already over?

"Oh well, the victim is already dead, guess there's nothing we can do about any of this, have a nice day Mr. Murderer!"

Prosecutions for murder are a retributive action to correct a wrong, a much more serious wrong than simply improperly retaining some boxes of paper.  The case against Trump is necessarily esoteric.

Come on, man. It wasn't just "some boxes of paper." He was keeping extremely sensitive national security information in a place that hosts thousands of visitors every year. Do you really think he's doing in-depth background checks on every single guest who comes to Mar-A-Lago?

And even if places like the Capitol and White House also host a ton of tourists, it's not like any random person is allowed inside a SCIF. You have to have a clearance to enter one.

- It's hilarious that this stupid sh**t is what they are going to get Trump on and not something like ,oh I don't know, stirring up a riot to overthrow an election.

This charge isn't "stupid". It's incredibly serious and Trump deserves prison time for it.

In any case, Smith is also investigating the January 6 stuff and the plots to overturn the election. There's nothing precluding him from indicting Trump on those charges in addition to him keeping the documents. Additionally, election interference is the sole focus of the Georgia investigation.

What a shame that his Secret Service protection likely guarantees him no worse a sentence than permanent house arrest.

I mean if you cut off his internet access and take away his cell phone , then house arrest basically becomes prison especially if you fence the area off .

He has access to perfect climate (A/C, heat) at home. Gold toilets. Super expensive and super clean furniture, appliances, overall environment to live in. Not just "normal comforts," but millionaire comforts.
How is that "basically prison"?
There would probably be hundreds-of-thousands of people in our nation, that would like to be thrown in this "prison" compared to what the have now.

Nobody said those properties would be exactly like how they are now. Say you confine him in Bedminster, and then do these things

1. Strip him of any access to the Internet(both data and WI-FI)

2. Take away his cell phone and force him to use a landline phone with a preapproved call list and a maximum per month minute limit

3. Shut down the entire property to any outside guests or employees . So all the amenities in Bedminster becomes useless with their being no employees around outside government designated cooks and his secret service protection who obviously will be busy guarding him

4. Don't let any of his family or friends live in Bedminster either so he'd have to meet them via official visits like any other prisoner does

5. Again no outside employees so rooms and furniture no longer will be clean unless he cleans them himself.

6.  Fence of the entire place so Bedminster looks like a prison now

It wouldnt be very hard to turn Bedminister into a prison

Yeah, Trump being unable to host rallies or post on Truth Social would be enough of a personal hell for him, regardless of the material conditions of wherever he's confined to. It would also effectively neuter him politically because he would be unable to run a campaign or endorse any candidates.

Of the four trials, this is still the one where the evidence is most obvious. The only thing is that this jury will likely be friendlier (or at least less hostile) to Trump than Manhattan, DC or Fulton County.
