Andrew Yang (D-NY) / John Fetterman (D-PA) 53.5% ~413 EV
Kanye West (R-WY) / Ben Carson (R-MD) 45.1% ~125 EV

In the 2021 runoff, Raphael Warnock defeats Kelly Loeffler, but David Perdue defeats Jon Ossoff. Democrats are one seat shy of taking the Senate, and Mitch McConnell remains Senate Majority Leader. He dedicates the last few years of his life towards blocking everything the Biden Administration and House Democrats attempt to do.

After years of legislative inaction and gridlock, an exhausted and ailing President Biden declines to run for re-election. The Democratic primary is crowded - Vice President Harris is an early favorite, but Andrew Yang narrowly pulls off winning the nomination, with his UBI proposal having gained considerable popularity as high unemployment lingers in the aftermath of the pandemic and the double-dip recession of 2021. Conceding the nomination, Harris pledges to fight for Andrew Yang to win the White House.

After spending the last two years of his life embroiled in court battles, former President Trump passes away on March 15, 2023 of a heart attack at the age of 76, just days after announcing his 2024 campaign.

Kanye West runs for the Republican nomination, defeating a crowded field including Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley and Ron DeSantis. Despite winning the Republican nomination, West's campaign is seen as error-prone and disorganized.

Yang's proposals generate enthusiasm and win him fans from across the political spectrum. He defeats West in a landslide, the first 400+ EV win since 1988. Massive celebrations in major cities across the world greet the news of Yang's win.

On January 2, 2025, Mitch McConnell dies of a heart attack at the age of 82, one day before he would have been relegated from Senate Majority Leader to Senate Minority Leader. On January 20, 2025, Andrew Yang is inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States.
