I can't say I knew the guy but he's struck me as one of the most noble, upstanding and compassionate people I have ever seen challenge for the highest office of the land. His last minute ad where he opened up about his family being affected by violence and saying "The Republicans are lying about me" tells everything we need to know about his lack of aggressiveness against a man who could've been soundly defeated
