Blithering idiot is the correct term here.  She is using tax funded scientific research that could one day help children like her newborn to score points with the anti-sciences out there.

The pure ignorance is astounding. 

I can't wait to watch John McCain and Sarah Palin lose on election day... it will be a truly great day for human progress.

I really don't think Palin should be the one deciding where earmark funding should go.  Just like congressmen and women should have to justify their earmark requests, the president should have to justify opposing them with more than "OMGZ LOLZ EARMARKS IS THE DEVILS!!!!@#T#"

And there's more at work here than just trying to save money.  The amount of money spend on earmarks is piddly squat compared to what we put into no-bid contracts for the Defense Department...

It's this anti-science bullsh**t from the "outraged" right...
