I hate most professional sports.  Especially basketball, baseball, and football.  I have no desire to be interested in them and I don't care about fantasy leagues, the draft, or any of the rest of the crap that comes with it.  I can get into a football game if I actually go to the game and it's my school playing... but watching on TV?  No thanks, I'd rather watch TBN.

But what sport is the most pathetic and overblown and over rated and stupid and absolutely pointless of all?  SOCCER.. Good God.. slit my throat now and spare me the bore of several hours of watching a bunch of idiots with their greased pseudo mohawk running around the middle of a field kicking at a ball... there's more excitement in watching grass grow... and it's all to the tune of a bunch of skinny, cocky, drunk little idiotic European male hooligans standing in the stands singing stupid songs about how much they love their country.  GOD, take me now.  I'd rather watch 3 hours of learning how to crochet with Helen Keller.

Seinfeld is one of the most boring pieces of trash in television hisotry.

Also can someone tell me what's so great about Lord of the Rings; quite simply one of the most boring and tedious books in existence. And the films were of average quality which (like Star Wars) just happened to have the "OMG" factor which made them successful.

It takes a real interest in fantasy to really enjoy fantasy.  It takes an interest in linguistics, culture, fantasy, politics, and war to really enjoy The Lord of the Rings.

If you thought Lord of the Rings was drawn out and tedious, read some of the other books by Tolkien!!  It begins to look like a Biblical chronology after a while:

Then Beomir begot Geomir who had two daughters, Grosstit and Nippley, who were deemed quite fertile and begot several children of their own with the brothers Inmostjab and Shallowjab.  Then along came a massive spider-like creature named Fangsnmurder and devoured a small island nation of innocent Elves.

How about "Most Haunted Live" last night on the Travel Channel?

Wow.  Absolute garbage.  I've seen the show before and it's kind of fun to watch them freak out when something clanks or bangs around... but the garbage they showed from the Sarah Winchester house was so awful!

"oooh.. it's so cold!  Ooooh dear.. there's a draft"  Says the woman sitting opposite the open window in the middle of the night in October.

Then they were moving the glass on the Ouija board and it kept tipping over... something I'd expect to happen if you were PUSHING the glass around.  Then the table was moving around.  Why couldn't it move when they DIDN'T have their hands on it?

All garbage.  GARBAGE!!!

As a matter fact I do like fantasy; actually LOTR put me off fantasy for years such was my hatred of it. I prefer Michael Moorcock as a matter of fact.

I really loved LOTR, but I couldn't help but get this uncomfortable vision of Elves looking like very attractive blond Scandinavian maidens with very long hair playing a harp while eating pickled fish innards and enjoying the cold, misty summer weather.

This is "social suicide"

Brokeback Mountain was a very good movie, if not one of my favorites.  And I'm not afraid to admit it.

I dislike almost all the popular music of today which can make it hard at times to be a high school student at a dance (I try, I really do)

I HATE talking on the phone

I did not like the movie 300, I think the blatant historical inacuracies just ruined it for me

Finally I at times I get rather bothered by feminists, which can be difficult to be in a state such as Washington

I can relate with you regarding feminists.  You could probably tack quite a few undesirable "isms" on me,  but sexism is not one of them.  And it bothers me when women assume I am somehow the enemy because I have a penis and a showy Adam's apple.

I mean, come on, I was even a little intrigued by the Vagina Monologues.

Oh yeah, I just remembered a good one: what the f**k is the big deal with "Knocked Up"?  I saw it a few weeks ago after hearing over and over again how hilarious and great it was when a friend lent me the DVD, and I just thought it was trash.  Do people honestly find it hilarious to watch dysfunctional and pathetic people basically just yell at each other for two hours?  I found it painful and embarrassing to watch and felt that the best part was when it finally ended.

I was entertained, but it paled in comparison to Superbad and Anchorman.

I pretty much just thought the lady co-worker that always sits in on the main character's meetings with her boss was hilarious...

"Yeah, I think child birth is actually really gross.  It's all like.. wet."

There's no humor quite like unintentionally offending somebody pretty badly and holding a completely straight face the whole time.
