I agree that McCain and Romney are particularly bad and do not represent the GOP as a whole. But when these two people are considered as 2 of the 3 most likely presidential candidates (at least right now) on the GOP side, it shows how weak the candidate pool is.
To be honest, Rudy Giuliani is the best of the GOP candidates, but snagging the nomination is going to be a hard task for that social liberal.
