For those who haven't seen the movie, the protagonist keeps repeating the same day over and over (until he learns a 'lesson'). The day resets, and any consequences are erased. If he kills someone or blows up a building, they're alive the next 'day' and the building remains intact.

Would you be required to act ethically in such a scenario?

Or sustain injuries that do not disappear on the next repeat day?

Should I watch this movie? I suspect I might find it irritating.

Yes, the movie doesn't approach the moral implications all that much. It's a rom-com and focused on self-improvement.
