Bgwah/Meeker. I was thinking the other day about how maybe afleitch might have been nice to have as President & then I remembered why the RPP opposed afleitch so vehemently.

I've never actually understood that, considering I was pushing to increase regional authority and allow for the creation of new regions, or the transferral of some states to others. I think I even spoke at your convention too.

Perhaps I was hallucinating when I thought you said that you supported eliminating the regions?

EDIT: I found the specific quote. While it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered, I don't want to have gerrymandered regions.

It's not gerrymandering when people get to vote on whether they want to remain in one region or another. The people would get to choose, as opposed to the current arrangement which was decided by politicians a few years back. I support strong regional government, if it meant people in neighbouring states voted to join the 'Dirty' South or the Mideast, or The Pacific region chose to split etc. As I said at the time - more regional government, not less.

I've found myself unfairly 'treated' by the RPP for some time for supposedly holding views that I don't have Smiley I'm used to it.

Are'nt we all Afleitch, apparently you can't care about regions unless you're an RPP supporter.

In case you haven't noticed, our party has taken very kindly to non-RPPers who support regional rights, such as Torie, AndrewCT, Franzl, and Bgwah. It isn't our fault that you failed to have a sufficiently pro-region record in the senate.

Define what a 'pro-region record' in the Senate is, considering that the Senate primarily concerns itself with federal matters and this is reflected in the legislation on the floor.

He abstained on a vote to abolish regional senate seats.
