Some things are simple, like free trade is good.

I will be voting against this bill

Since you love to think in terms of power, I'll put it this way:

Free trade is a useful tool internationally. Should we be compromising that by offering free trade to everyone, whether they like us or not?

I'm not fully decided on it for that reason. As great as unconditional free trade is, I'm hesitant to reward the sworn enemies of liberty. Undecided

However, in your attempt to hurt the sworn enemies of liberty, you hurt yourself even more in the process. By limiting free trade between countries, you guarentee that both countries have fewer resources and are more miserable than they otherwise would be.

We shouldn't bar trade with anyone, it only hinders our economic oppurtunity.

Excellent. Smiley
