Unlike handguns, knifes (and cars) have primary purposes other than to kill people and the vast majority of times they're used, they're used for that primary purpose.

No, I would vote no if an handgun ban came up on the ballot in Mississippi.

If you didn't want to ban handguns, then why would you bother to say the situation is different between knives and handguns?
